In Home Therapy

Working with you, where you are

CHD’s In-Home Therapy Services (IHT) supports youth (under 21) and their families who are struggling with challenging mental/behavioral health issues. We know it’s not easy to keep appointments, and that many of the most difficult behaviors occur at home or school so we come to you. Working as a team, a clinician and therapeutic training and support (TT&S) specialist will help you to design a plan that will support your child’s development, improve relationships he/she has, and prevent an admission to a higher level of care (such as a hospital or residential facility). Services are provided in the family home, and can occur several times a week, especially at the beginning of treatment.

In-Home Therapy staff can assist with:

Risk management/safety planning
Skill building to strengthen the family
Advancing therapeutic goals
Improving ineffective patterns of interaction
Identifying and utilizing community resources
Developing and maintaining tools for the youth and parent/caregiver(s) to sustain treatment gains.
