15th Annual Light Up the Night!
June 15 @ 5:30 pm - 11:00 pm
This year’s Light Up the Night event will take us deep into the transformative magic of a Midsummer’s Night. Lose yourself to an enchanted night of friends, delicious summer-inspired food, and dancing. Over 200 guests will feast and frolic in a captivating garden. One-of-a-kind live and silent auction items, donated by generous local businesses and individuals, will once again be the centerpiece of the evening.
Ticket prices: $100, $150, or $250 (there is no difference in what you receive between each ticket price)
Event location: at a private home in Amherst with beautiful garden scenery (address to be included in a confirmation email once tickets are purchased online)
In its 14-year history, LUTN has contributed nearly $500,000 to FOA programs supporting the most vulnerable members of our community. It raises nearly half of FOA’s annual fund raising budget every year (over $55,000 in 2016!), and allows us to employ a full-time caseworker to work with struggling families.
Auction items in the past have included:
-Unique dining experiences, including a personal at-home dining experience from Johnny’s Tavern, and farm-to-table meal from 30Boltwood. -Memorable outings, such as tours of the Massachusetts State House with Senate President, Stan Rosenberg, and personal tennis lessons with tennis pro, Art Carrington. -Incredible trips including Cape Cod, New Hampshire, Maine, and the Outer Banks getaways, and international trips to Dominican Republic, Italy, and other beautiful locations.
These are just a few examples of the diverse array of we have of auction items year after year! The event is generously supported by the entire community through donations, discounts and volunteers. We strive to keep our expenses low so that the money we raise can go directly to the families in the community that need it the most. It truly does take a village!
