CHD manages eight Outpatient Behavioral Health Services clinics that offer individual, couples, family, and group counseling to help children and adults work through issues such as anxiety, depression, parenting concerns, behavioral challenges, alcohol and substance abuse, relationship issues, physical or sexual abuse, GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender) issues, and other concerns. They also offer psychiatry and psychological testing services.
Our clinicians commit themselves to promoting the growth and development of children, adults, and families using all the resources available. They support and assist people through the challenges, stress, or transition they find in their lives through individual, group, family, or couples therapy.They offer parent and children in divorce seminars to help families redefine relationships and develop practical coping strategies for working through the difficulties that come with transition. CHD is a state approved provider for this mandated class.
CHD clinicians provide services in many languages, including English, Spanish, Russian, and Vietnamese. Counseling is conducted through office or outreach visits, with services available in Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin, and Worcester counties.
CHD clinics accept most insurance plans including Medicaid, Medicare, MassHealth, and private insurances.
Parents and Children in Divorce
CHD runs a series of two-session, five-hour seminars throughout the year for parents coping with divorce. These seminars are held on consecutive days each month in Springfield and West Springfield.
