SPRINGFIELD — Pint-sized super heroes, goblins and witches filled their Halloween sacks during a tour Monday at the offices of the Center of Human Development.

About three dozen preschoolers from Square One and the Grace House arrived by bus for a safe daylight alternative to trick or treating at the CHD’s Birnie Avenue offices.

The annual event featured staff members dressed as lumberjacks, witches, nuns and Cruella de Vil. CEO Jim Goodwin greeted children in his office wearing an over-sized bow tie.

CHD is a non-profit organization providing a broad-range of community-oriented human services to 17,00 children, adolescents, adults and families each year.
