Submissions = Commitment! Please submit your workshop proposal by June 30, 2017! Thank you.
Thank you for your interest in helping improve the lives of young girls by sharing your knowledge with people who engage directly with girls and young women, including educators, social workers, direct care staff, family members, and concerned citizens – agents of positive change in our communities.
The conference is held every year to address the issues facing girls and young women at risk of personal and social dangers in our culture. It focuses on the most current methods and practices for working with girls confronting challenges in their lives. Notable professionals engage with educators, social workers, direct care staff, family members, and concerned citizens.
Call for presenters! Are you interested in leading the conversation?
What do you think people in our community need as they work with girls to make positive changes and assist them in overcoming the challenges that today’s girls face? Workshop topics should have some connection to the theme, “Through Her Eyes, We See YOU!” Recognizing the stress and trauma associated with working with at risk girls and young women, we want to help provide the providers with tools they can use in their daily lives to maintain a positive, healthy attitude.
They must focus on providing education and support to the professionals in our community as they work with our girls to make positive changes and assist them in overcoming the challenges that today’s girls face. We encourage you to involve girls in your workshop as co-presenters, speakers, or assistants. Proposals will not be disqualified for having no girl involvement, but those that do will be given special consideration.
Conference attendees will be eligible for Continuing Education Credits. Our sincere apologies for the length of this application; we are required to submit workshop proposals to a review board and must ask that the application be filled out in full.
