10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
622 State Street
Springfield, MA
At the Second Annual Art Show on State there will be a free indoor exhibition and an outdoor festival, including food and beverages, activities, performances, and arts and crafts for sale by participants and staff in various CHD programs.
The event will include free “make and take” craft tables that will include acrylic paints, charcoal sketching, resin art, and essential oils-making. You can make your own project and take it home!
“These gatherings are important to the individuals we serve and our staff because they help to combat the stigma of mental illness,” said STAR Psychiatric Day Treatment Program Manager Ed Cruz Candelaria. “They provide an opportunity for members of our growing community to give back to one another and provide a space for everyone to come together and celebrate the differences that make us great. These events allow the individuals served and the helping professionals to develop a strong connection, and they also provide an opportunity for both the individuals served and the providers to see one another in a different perspective.”
The location is the home of CHD’s STAR Psychiatric Day Treatment Program, Adult Mental Health-Springfield, and the agency’s State Street Outpatient Clinic.
