Senior VP of Medical Services


Dr. Jalil A. Johnson joined CHD in 2017, bringing diverse business and healthcare experience that spans over 25 years. He served as Director of Psychiatry, then Vice President of Medical Services before he became the organization’s Senior Vice President of Medical Services in 2023.

In his role, he oversees CHD’s outpatient continuum, which provides a variety of services, including individual therapy, CBHC, CBHI, EI, psychiatry, primary care, and peer services. Additionally, he leads CHD’s clinical integration efforts, which includes nursing, pharmacy, and other clinical services that are interwoven throughout CHD programs.

In his time with CHD, he has been instrumental in developing interdisciplinary care models, creating the vision for the integrated clinical services, strengthening and growing CBHC, psychiatry, and primary care services; as well as scaling and improving the quality of clinical services.

Dr. Johnson holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, with a focus on health disparities, a Master of Science Degree from University of Massachusetts Medical School with a clinical specialty in adult health, and a Master of Business Administration from Fitchburg State University with a focus in healthcare administration. His subspecialty areas include mental health, substance use disorders, higher education, organizational leadership, and strategy.
