WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA – There are lots of ways people in our community contribute to the fight against cancer. On Saturday June 18, 2016, employees of Connecticut Business Systems (CBS), a Xerox company, brought the fight directly to CHD Cancer House of Hope for a spring cleanup day.
“We are truly grateful to the people of CBS for wanting to support the House,” said Joe Kane, Program Director for Cancer House of Hope. “Part of what makes the House so welcoming is the feeling when you arrive that you are a guest in someone’s home. CBS employees have planned cleanup projects such as freshening up the gardens, landscaping and building exterior to help make the House feel even more like a home. All efforts that support the life changing work of CHD and the Cancer House of Hope are welcomed and sincerely appreciated.”
“The staff at CBS is thrilled to be taking part in the Day of Caring,” said Cindy DeGray, Sales Manager at Connecticut Business Systems, a Xerox company. “As a service-driven business, we know that it’s important to reach out to support valuable community resources, and none is more important to individuals and families facing a cancer diagnosis than Cancer House of Hope. We’re looking forward to getting our hands dirty and making the House look great!”
