The Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) was created to help keep children and adolescents with serious emotional and behavioral health needs in their homes and communities. These services are available to children who are receiving many types of MassHealth from birth until their 21st birthday. We will come to you. The services are designed to support children, adolescents, and their families in the places where they feel most comfortable—their homes, schools, and neighborhoods.

After a consultation, we will pair you with a case manager who will schedule regular appointments.
If you have a child in your life whose behavior makes life difficult for them and their family, our Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) could be a tremendous source of support. We offer a variety of therapy options, including therapy in-home. Our program is specifically designed to help children facing the following:
- Emotional issues (depression, anxiety, anger, and mood swings)
- Behavioral issues at home or school
- Substance-abuse issues
- Difficulty concentrating on schoolwork
- Aggressive, suicidal, or homicidal behavior
For children with a high degree of need, in-home therapy can be a critical service. These services are delivered primarily in the home and community, rather than in an office, and the frequency and duration of a given session matches the need of the youth and family, rather than a prescribed length of time or number of sessions. Scheduling appointments is flexible and our staff members are responsive to each family’s considerations such as school and family workhours. Our team of caring professionals will also coordinate care among the service providers, community resources, and natural supports, as appropriate, that are engaged with the family.
