Warm Up the Night! History: Since 2012, we have transformed various locations, including the festive tent at the Lord Jeffery Inn and the Amherst College Alumni House, into food bazaars. Each year we add new food selections, and in 2014 Senator Stan “the chef” Rosenberg joined us to help award “Best in Show” awards to the crowd’s favorite food artisans.
In the past four years, well over 200 people have turned out to enjoy tasty offerings and helped support our most fragile neighbors. Over the years our food vendors have included 30Boltwood, The Alvah Stone, Bahn Mi Saigon, Bistro 63 at the Monkey Bar, The Black Sheep Deli, The Blue Heron, Bread & Butter, Carr’s Ciderhouse, Chef Bill, Chez Albert, Ecuador Andino Store, Esselon, Food 101, Glazed Doughnut Shop, High Horse Brewing, Ibizas Tapas and Wine Bar, Illva Sorono/Corvo Wines, Jasper Hill Farm, The Lone Wolf, Mission Cantina, Barbara Feldman Morse, Oriental Flavor, Osteria Vespa, Pengyew Catering, The Pub, Louise Reilly’s Spiced Nuts, Bob Stover from Not Bread Alone, Sun Kim Bop Food Truck, Sutter Meats, and Whole Foods Market.
Exciting features in 2015 included a pig roast by 30Boltwood, tequila tasting by Spirit Haus, scotch tasting by Four Seasons Liquors, live music by musicians Winterpills and Roger Salloom, and a special appearance by local guitar legend J Mascis!
