I’m excited to introduce you to our new website, the product of many months of hard work and creative thinking by many members of the CHD team.
We think it’s a much improved representation of the breadth and depth of services that we offer across Western Massachusetts and Connecticut — and even more importantly, a much more effective channel to share the stories and impact of the life-changing work we do.
When we kicked off this project in mid-2019, we set a few basic objectives:
- Enable fast, easy, and direct navigation for people to connect to services.
- Tell our story in ways that reach and resonate with key audiences: People using or seeking our services, current and prospective employees, donors and funders, government partners, and referring providers.
- Emphasize visual and authentic storytelling: Don’t be afraid to acknowledge and show people’s realities.
- Embrace change: Design a site that moves and evolves with the times: less of a billboard and more of a dynamic information hub.
I think we’ve accomplished all that, and I hope you feel the same. I’m also excited about the contemporary color palette and design we’ve chosen. We look forward to incorporating more of it into our brand down the road.
This is the first of what I hope will be many blog posts about a wide range of topics that matter to our community. Watch this space for expert insight on mental health and wellness, recovery, family and parenting issues, and much more.
Finally, I want to say a special thanks to the team at Cronin and Co., our partner in this undertaking. Our experience was first-class from start to finish, and we’ve learned so much from them. I highly recommend them!
I welcome your feedback and thanks for taking a look.
