Big Brothers Big Sisters 16th Annual Daffodil Run 5k/10k

Sunday, April 26, 2026

By signing up for the Daffodil Run 5k or 10k, you’re helping Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

CHD’s Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County will hold the 16th Annual Daffodil Run in person at the Amherst Town Common, Amherst, MA 01002

Register by April 1 and get a free Daffodil Run T-shirt. T-shirts can be purchased after April 1 either at the race or see registration link below for t-shirt only purchase.

The celebration begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Amherst Town Common, with complimentary breakfast for participants (see below for schedule). Our warm-up begins at 9:30 with the timed and certified 10k beginning promptly at 10:00 and the 5K at 10:15. Registration begins at 8:30.

Please arrive no later than 9:00 to ensure a smooth registration and check-in process. You’ll want to bring funds because the race also features a 50/50 raffle as well as a raffle for some great prizes. An area to store your personal items will be presided over by our sponsors.

This community event has become the first marker of spring for the town of Amherst and draws hundreds of people to the area to participate and cheer on their family and friends. The post-race party includes music and tasty food offered from local favorites. There will be yellow kites for flying on the Common, entertainment, and (weather permitting) picnic-style games.

The Daffodil Run helps sustain the power of youth mentoring through Big Brothers Big Sisters by connecting adult mentors with young people in our community. Once matched, they go on to build a meaningful, positive relationship that empowers the potential inherent in each child.

Form a team with your friends, family, or work colleagues and wear your business’ branded t-shirts or hats to show your company’s support for mentoring the youth of Hampshire County!

Mentoring Matters

Our mission of creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships to ignite the power and promise of youth does not decrease because of a pandemic. In fact, the stresses that our children are facing in the midst of this national emergency have only increased the need for connection with a mentor. The Daffodil Run for Big Brothers Big Sisters is the program’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and we count on the revenue from this event to continue our service to our kids, their families, and their mentors. We are asking for your help in making this event as successful as ever!

We invite you to share this event page with your networks all over the world in an effort to raise as much as possible for our program.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Event Sponsorships opportunities are available! Please consider becoming a sponsor of the 2026 Daffodil Run! More information about sponsorship levels is available by emailing Ann Walsh at [email protected] or by clicking here.
