Hardee joins CHD’s leadership team

CHD recently welcomed Felicity Hardee to its leadership team as general counsel and chief compliance officer (CCO). As CCO, Hardee will provide leadership to help oversee CHD’s compliance with the many different requirements the organization faces within its broad range of service to individuals, families and communities across Western Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Hardee joins CHD with nearly 40 years of law experience in litigation, real estate and environmental law, including more than 32 years at Bulkley Richardson and 6 1/2 years as the owner of her own practice, where one of her major focuses was on development of affordable housing for low and moderate income residents.

In her work, Hardee has advised public housing authorities on compliance with U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development regulations as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act, an area she became passionate about through her longstanding connection to CHD.

Though new to CHD’s leadership team, Hardee previously represented the organization for nearly 20 years on individual real estate transactions and more. As CCO, Hardee will continue this work and oversee the acquisition of new group homes as the agency continues to grow and evolve.

In tandem with her work on real estate transactions, Hardee is committed to the importance of providing affordable housing for all, including such for those in need of supportive services, marginalized communities, and all who experience housing instability.

“Working with CHD for a number of years I’ve witnessed the commitment of staff of all levels to the service of CHD’s clients,” Hardee said. “I am excited about joining an organization with such dedicated staff doing important work for those in need.”
