What does Big Brothers Big Sisters do?
Our mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. For a few hours, 2-4 times a month, Bigs and Littles spend time doing various activities together, from going to a museum to taking a hike. By simply offering the invaluable gift of friendship, Bigs and Littles literally change each others’ lives for the better.
What does ‘open gender’ mean, and why is it its own category?
Organizers of the Daffodil Run acknowledge that there are more than two genders, so we’ve created an ‘open gender’ category for individuals to select if either the ‘male’ or ‘female’ categories do not suit you. Please contact CHD’s BBBS Director, Jessie Cooley, with any questions at jcooley@CHD.org or (413) 259-3345.
