CHD's Redesigned Website is Honored in National Healthcare Advertising Awards

CHD’s redesigned website recently received a merit recognition in the 38th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards, the largest national healthcare advertising competition in the nation. The new site was created in partnership with Connecticut-based marketing agency Cronin and Co.

The awards are given to entrants whose programs and materials display “exceptional quality, creativity, message effectiveness, and overall impact.” This year the Awards saw over 4,400 entries, marking not only the largest healthcare advertising awards competition but also one of the ten largest of all advertising awards nationwide.

“One of the major focuses of the relaunched website was to strengthen CHD’s ability to connect with our communities and reach key audiences, especially those who are in need of services,” said VP of Community Engagement Ben Craft. “It’s an honor to be recognized along with our partners at Cronin for the quality, effectiveness and impact of the new CHD.org, which also reflects the hard work and creative thinking by many members of the CHD team.”

“Cronin was thrilled to have an opportunity to partner with CHD on such an important project,” said Cronin SVP of Digital Strategy and Technology Mia Walters. “Getting to know people behind CHD and learn about the tremendous impact that they make every day on lives of so many communities was incredibly rewarding for our agency. Ensuring that the site communicated their messages effectively across all audiences was a guiding principle throughout the website project.”

Groups and organizations eligible for the awards include healthcare systems; hospitals of varying size and capacity, including specialty and academic hospitals; health and medical services such as clinics, outpatient centers, urgent care; and more.

In addition to website effectiveness, awards were also given for materials and products such as newsletters, magazine publications, blog sites, social media content, television and radio advertising and more, all of which were produced in the previous calendar year.

Other recipients from this year’s awards include AstraZeneca, BlueCross BlueShield, Cape Cod Healthcare, Connecticut Children’s Hospital, United HealthCare, United States Department of Health and Human Resources, Trinity Health and more.

“These awards are dominated by some prominent names in medical advertising, so we’re honored to be recognized as a human services organization,” Craft said.

The CHD website was relaunched in June 2020 to enable fast, easy and direct navigation for people to connect to services and create a dynamic site capable of moving and evolving with the times. Learn more.
