-
CHD’s Outpatient Clinic: Interns can expect a caseload of 10-20 ongoing clients, seeing anywhere between 5-10 clients on a weekly basis. Typical required availability 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm. Expected schedule is usually 3 days throughout workweek. Saturday hours are not typical, but vary by location.
-
Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC): Interns interested in our CBHC program have three different placements to choose from: Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic, Mobile Crisis, and Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS). These programs provide 24/7 care, which offers flexible availability for interns to accrue hours. Interns at the Clinic can expect to carry a small caseload and be heavily trained in Comprehensive Assessments. Interns at Mobile Crisis can expect to participate in a co-response team and provide services in the community. They are trained on crisis assessments, comprehensive assessments, and provide individual therapy for 3 days following initial contact with an individual. Interns at CCS can expect to provide follow up outpatient care in a controlled setting for individuals stepping down from hospitalization or referred from Mobile Crisis. They are trained on comprehensive assessments and meet with clients daily at the Youth Program or at least 3 times at the Adult Program. Caseloads vary depending on clients engaged in treatment (ex: sometimes there will be 3 people on unit and sometimes 11).
-
In-Home Therapy: Interns can expect a caseload of about 5 families. Each family is seen about 3.5 hours per week, spread over multiple days. Interns participate in a care team and provide intensive support to children and adolescents with serious emotional and behavioral needs. Therapists can go to the client’s home, school, library, or other neighborhood locations. Afternoon and evening hours are typical, due to working around children’s school schedules and accommodating the family.
