VP of Adult Mental Health & Substance Use Services
Matthew Leone was previously CHD’s Senior Program Director for our Central Region and Gateway Community Behavioral Health Center, where he led integrated teams and partnered closely with Massachusetts’ Department of Mental Health, Department of Public Health, and Bureau of Substance Use Addiction Services.
In his vice president role, Matthew works with program directors across the Adult Mental Health and Substance Use division to strengthen care coordination, risk management, and quality improvement for the people we serve.
Prior to his work at CHD, he was program manager of Emergency Services & Supports at Behavioral Health Network in Springfield, where he had also served as assistant program director and program coordinator for its Community Safety & Support program. Before that he was a community safety clinician and a crisis clinician for that agency.
Matthew, a licensed mental health counselor, earned his associate of arts in psychology degree from Holyoke Community College, his BA in psychology from Westfield State University, and his master of education in psychology degree from Springfield College.
