Annabel works alongside CHD’s Organizational Excellence team to help oversee regulatory and legal obligations on the federal and state levels across the organization’s broad and diverse service offerings.

She joined CHD in 2026, bringing to CHD extensive experience in the mental health field in both inpatient and community mental health settings. She was most recently director of quality, risk management, and compliance at Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital in Holyoke.

Prior to that, she was senior consultant, employee assistance program, at Baystate Health. Previously, she served in several roles at Baystate Health, including program manager, inpatient behavioral health at Baystate Medical Center, where she led and oversaw a team of behavioral health clinicians. She was also interim director of behavioral health at Baystate Franklin Medical Center, where she directed and oversaw its entire spectrum of behavioral healthcare. She is also a licensed mental health counselor.

Annabel has taught as an adjunct professor in clinical mental health counseling graduate programs for both Bay Path University and Springfield College.

She earned a bachelor of science degree in sociology and geological sciences from SUNY New Paltz and a master of education in psychology/clinical mental health counselling from Springfield College.
