During her tenure at CHD, Amy Woods-Sawyers has been an invaluable asset, consistently demonstrating a commitment to excellence while overseeing our community-based programs serving individuals referred by the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS).

Amy has demonstrated strong leadership in areas of program operations, regulatory compliance, staff development, and driving measurable outcomes for the individuals we serve, all while illustrating a commitment to CHD’s mission and values.

She began her career in 2003 as a caseworker in our Connecticut programs and has consistently elevated to many administrative roles within the division, including Assistant Division Director, Director of Operations, and most recently as the Senior Program Director of Intensive Mental Health Residential Homes, working with individuals with complex mental health treatment needs.

Amy has been a key leader in the design and implementation of successful services models in Connecticut, including program expansion and has brought this invaluable experience to the Vice President position.
