Fueled by Heart and Respect
From providing a friendly, familiar face to helping guide participants to critical resources and other needs, our volunteers make all the difference in the lives of those who visit the Hospitality Center.
Many of our volunteers have experienced homelessness or housing instability themselves, so they know what it’s like to be in the shoes of those they’re helping. They treat each person served with the respect and dignity they deserve. With a whole lot of heart and compassion, our volunteers connect with participants to help them address their individual needs, whether it’s a shower, a hot cup of coffee, a person to talk to and more. There are many ways volunteers can help out based on their interests and availability.
Our volunteers do important work to support our two full-time staff and outreach worker as we help more than 60 people each day. It’s with their help that we keep things running so we can be there for each person who comes through our door.
